I've seen these topics in different places, but they've been pretty piecemeal so I wanted to see if anyone could point me to some definitive responses. Here are some questions I have...
1. What is MEGUIAR's official position on the Paste vs. Liquid debate? Sorry Joe Blow, but I don't want to know YOUR opinion, I want the MEGUIAR'S opinion! Could someone send me a link from a Meguair's detailer or staffer or someone in the know?
2. What are the above opinions based upon? Has there ever been any tests on longevity, protection, shine etc...?
3. Has any member done a NXT vs. NXT 2.0 longevity test? If so, can someone point me to the results? If not, I am going to undertake a test (front hood) half on each side. Although I LOVE all of my Meguiar's products, I'm ALWAYS a skeptic about marketing. You know, every company has to reinvent itself as a means of keeping sales up.
With regard to #3, it always amazed me about Meguiar's... I've been using the stuff since 1992 and I always thought... "while I love the product, they have the ugliest looking packaging". LOL
Then, along comes the NXT line of products and the packaging was SO GOOD, I got a bit worried the Meg's may have sold out to the marketing guru's at the products expense. Luckily that does not seem to be the case, although I'm 100% certain the NXT packaging has a LOT to do with sales. Looking at the product on the store shelf just makes you want to buy it all up!
