Re: wheel well dressing
It would be ok for wheelweels, though ASD would likely be more cost effective.
I dunno about under the hood. I have used ASD on occaision under there with no problems, but some people seem to be against it because of the heat.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

That said, I don't care for the application, seems I have to saturate the entire engine bay to ensure all surfaces are covered, it seemed to use a lot of product and the smell will get you during application!Brandon

Re: wheel well dressing
On the plastic fender well inner linings, I clean them with a brush and soap, then once dry, I simply apply silicon-based tire dressing to them. It blackens them really well, and makes them a breeze to keep clean.2006 Chopped and Dropped Dodge Grand Caravan SXT

Re: wheel well dressing
Hi Tim,
Sorry, ""nothing beats" is a bit confrontational.
Isn't hyper dressing water based? Not that one will get a bunch of water in the engine well, otherwise you'll have bigger problems.
That said, I have not tried hyper dressing. But the product I mentioned is that good that once you use it, it's hard to deviate.
Rather than continue to trounce all over spence's thread as soon as I detail my engine (I'll try tomorrow) I'll post my own report (w/ pix and all).
Happy Easter.I'm crafty, but not good at crafts.

Re: wheel well dressing
To put things back on topic...
For wheel wells, I use Meguiar's Hyper Dressing at a 3:1 dilution. As I have mentioned over the years, it does not attract dust as much as other dressings. It applies easily and spreads out evenly.
My other product which I still have a special stock of is the discontinued Meguiar's Engine Kote.
