  • Wash after Clay

After clay, do I have to wash the car again before applying the other products (DC1, cleaner wax, etc)?

    Nope, no need to wash.

      Re: Wash after Clay

You should start with a good wash and don't need to do that again while you are going through the entire process unless there is a big gap between completing steps and the car gets dirty again.

        No you don't have to.
The idea when you are claying is to wash and dry the car and then, when you are done you'll get your clay kit out, and most important a clean MF towel and start claying, lube and clay a section and then wipe dry with the MF towel

        Hope this helps

          Good. Thanks.

I am getting lazy. I am still deciding on one of the following processes this weekend:
          1. Clay - DC1 - DC2 - NXT (then maybe another NXT)
          2. Clay - Cleaner Wax - NXT

It all depends if you have the time or not.
One thing that you have to keep in mind that you achieve better results when you use dedicated products for a purpose compared to an "all in one" so option #1 will indeed give you better results but time is a big factor.

Many of my panels are re-painted in the last week of December.

I am thinking to take it easy, not to use products that are too intrusive.

That should be long enough for the paint to cure. Usually, 30 to 60 days is enough time. You should be good to do whatever is necessary to get the results you are after.

I always wash and dry after claying. I want to start with a perfectly clean car when I polish and wax - no leftover lubricants, etc. Just feels better to me.
