  • Question about tech wax 2.0

    Hi,

My car is black and i have been using the regular tech wax liquid for the past 3 years. Very happy with it!
The other day i saw a new tech wax 2.0, i searched on the forum for a side by side comparison/review but didnt find anything. Does anyone have a link to a review by a member or, can you tell me what the difference is between the regular tech wax and the 2.0. Is it really worth getting the new one compared to the regular tech wax?

    Thanks.

New does seem to be better in this case.

Its like the old Nxt, with the fun and excitment of UQD added in.

The product is improved overall and as Matt stated it now has our new Hydrophobic Technology. It will now last longer than the first version and bead water better and longer also.

Best thing to so is to pick up a bottle of the 2.0 after you use up all the original formula.

Re: Question about tech wax 2.0

A few more questions, what is UQD?
And is it ok to apply a coat of the 2.0 on a car with 2 coats of old tech wax already on it? Will i notice a change or do i have to wash the car and start fresh?
Will i notice a big improvment over the old wax? The old tech wax has always been great, everytime i put it on i can see a deeper black in the paint.

        Thanks in advance.

          UQD = Ultimate Quik Detailer.

Yes you can apply a coat of the NXT 2.0 over NXT

Because the formula itself is improved I guess you'll notice a change in water breading and how long the wax last

If you are referring to appearance wise then the best thing to do is to get the new NXT and do a side by side test, see which in your eyes and car looks better and then you decide.

I did the test once, posted this review in the other forum platform, when the NXT 2.0 had another name, a lab name I guess it was, for me the improvements were great in appearance, protection lasted longer.

Re: Question about tech wax 2.0

Yalerd thank you very much for all that info. Nearly all my questions are now answered. I will buy a bottle today but i have a couple more questions.
If i understand this right, UQD is now in the new 2.0 tech wax? So you basically dont need it anymore?
And the comparison you did, do you have a link to that review?
Sounds like this is the way to go from now on.
            Thanks for the info.

Re: Question about tech wax 2.0

Just to add my impressions of NXT 2.0. It applies and removes easier than 1.0. Once in a while 1.0 would streak on removal in high heat and humidity conditions. 2.0 does not. 2.0 has insane water beading and yet sheets easily so flow drying or sheeting is easy. Much better than 1.0. The slickness lasts much longer in 2.0 as does the highly reflective gloss. I'm going on 10 weeks since application, 5 washes and several rain showers later and it still looks and feels freshly applied. 1.0 would have been showing it's age under this scenario.

I firmly believe that NXT 2.0 is the best OTC sealant money can buy and rivals any boutique product. With NXT 2.0, I think Meguiar's knocked this one out of the park. I'd also say that I like NXT 2.0 better than M21 1.0. which I liked a lot. I've not yet tried M21 2.0 so I won't comment on products I haven't actually used.

I gave most of my bottles of NXT 1.0 to family and friends after trying NXT 2.0.

Re: Question about tech wax 2.0

I think you are a little bit confused Antonio

UQD is a spray detailer, it's mist and wipe product that works like a spray detailer and enhances wax protection. Through the use of new Hydrophobic Technology, it's not a wax.

It will enhance wax, meaning that it will add maybe more protection to the coat of wax you are using and it will make the surface "pop"

What amazing reflection. The first shot is my favorite. Did not see the car at first. Your car looks fantastic. Way to go.
