I picked up a Brinkmann Dual Xenon light, and it's unbelievable how much it shows on a vehicle's surfaces (I thought my garage queen was in great condition until I inspected the surfaces with the Xenon -- now I know what's really going on with my finishes, and where to focus my detailing). You see all the pros on here using Xenons -- and it's a must-have tool for us weekend warriors, as well. I can't recommend it enough!

I hate that light. It only adds about 3 more hours to the detail. But seriously it is a great tool to have.Jesse

I was at Target today and my store had a "durabuilt" 1M candle light halogen light on clearance for $14. I passed. They show defects in the paint so well that sometimes they can be impossible to please 100%
That's why a lot of detailers will use this light to highlight the defects to a customer's eyes to get the job, but after the job the light won't be anywhere to be found.
Like a two edged sword, the Xeon light cuts both ways, truly a cruel master.
