I was in Myrtle Beach Friday on business when the storms came through. On the way home, I got caught behind a semi and my truck got covered in dirt and grime. I washed it Saturday afternoon, spraying as much of the **** off as possible. I used the 2 bucket method and did an extra wash on the entire vehicle with clean water after the first. When I went to dry it, I noticed, particularly on the hood, that I could still see the streaks from all the mud that got thrown onto the hood. Paint was clean, but streaks where there almost like "hidden" water spots.
I just did a full detail 2 weeks ago and did not see any paint damage from the wash this weekend. Would you clay the hood to remove the "streaks" or would you let it ride until the next waxing in about 2 months?
