So i am trying to find out the best way to dry my car, and i want to know which is better for drying a terry or microfiber towel. Also, when i was using the microfiber towel it seems to take a while to dry the car; this may result in having waterspots. How do i dry my car effectively? Also i would like to know if it is safe to scrub out dirty contaminants at the lower part of my car after i have applied some soap? Will it scratch my paint suface? Its frustrating because the water dries up before i could dry it myself.

Re: Car drying
For drying, I like to use the absorber. After going over a section with the absorber I follow it up with the Meguiars Marine Water Magnet. (I like the larger size). Then when I dry the glass its followed up with the regular water magnet. This works great for me.quality creates its own demand

Re: Car drying
The water in my area is extremely hard and no matter how fast, or how many fresh towels I use, I invariable end up with a few water spots. I've just become accumtomed to going over the entire car with some Last Touch QD as a matter of course. After that, I'll usually give the entire car a quick once over with UQD (only because I'm pretty nuts) which seems to help reduce the problem on subsiquent washes.

If the weather is warm or dry or the car is large you’ll always find some of the water dries before you towel it off. In that case it’s good to work in sections.

Use clay for stubborn contaminants.

Re: Car drying
I find the megs syn chamois followed by a megs WW or California drying towels works great for me. I find the california towel to be much softer than the megs towels.
You can get all of them from Autodetailingsolutions.com.

Use those for your final rinse down and it will greatly reduce the water spots! It wont cure them 100% but the ones that are left come right off with a damp WW. I usually soak the resin filter in salt water a few times a year.Current Jeep: 2004 Jeep Liberty with stuff

Re: Car drying
I'm currently using the water magnet and unfortunately, I'm not happy with it. When it gets soaked, I'll wring it out and it will still leave streaking unlike my old chamois. I think I'm going to try the Viking MF drying towel from K-Mart.I'm crafty, but not good at crafts.

Re: Car drying
Well the verdict is still out on the Meg M/F Chamios not to sure. They are better than the Water Magnet alone. I used the chamios then followed up with the Water Magnet. I think that was the ticket.2008 Dodge Ram Quad Cab
