  • life after the clay bar

I just used the meguires clay bar on my car and it looks a whole lot better, although i have some lingering out lines of spots if you look just right. What can i use to prevent having to use the claybar everytime. I was thinking a cleaner wax?

    Hey,

It sounds like you are getting water spots. Are you parked close to a sprinkler? Water spots can be a real problem. Generally, tap water/sprinklers/not drying the paint after being washed etc. causes them. One of the best ways to eliminate them is to try and avoid the cause. I would use an excellent Polymer Sealant like Meguiar's #20 Polymer Sealant, or Medallion Premium Paint Protection, or NXT Tech Wax to help protect against them.

Good Luck and keep us posted!

This is not meant to be a dumb question, but after claying your car's finish, are you applying any other products?

      Such as,

      Paint Cleaner, like ScratchX
      Polish, like Deep Crystal Polish
Wax, like NXT, ColorX, Medallion, Hi-Tech Yellow Wax, Deep Crystal Carnauba wax, Meguiar's Cleaner wax, etc.

Clay is only one part of paint care. Claying needs to be followed with at a minimum, an application of a paint protectant.
