Care to elaborate a bit more, and with complete sentences? Would help tremendously.

If it's a sticker with an adhesive backing that you're trying to stick to glass, then first clean the glass really well using glass cleaner.

You might also try straight Isopropyl Alcohol?

I think this post might be confusing to most users stateside, let me elabourate on what Harryboy is saying:

In the UK we have to pay road tax for every car we own, this is must be renewed every year and you get issued with a paper disc. The paper disc usually slides into a transparent plastic holder which "sticks" to the glass - not from adhesive but from surface tension (i think).

        Here is a photo:

Harryboy: From my experience you have to make sure your glass is VERY clean, and also the plastic holder should be too, perhaps you need a new plastic holder. When I had a mini I had a similar problem, I think this is caused by the accute angle of the windscreen. If this doesn't work I suggest you look online for a tax disc holder which is adhesive.

We have the same thing in NY, however, we call it registration, not tax.
(but they are basically the same)

Or a couple pieces of duct tape should do the trick.

Thanks for the explanation, Andy. I was totally clueless as to what he was talking about.

Re: sticking alloy tax disc holder

Hiya, Im from the UK would recommend if u have it there a magnetic tax disc holder. There a sticky ring that fixes to the window and then a you place the tax disc in and slide or place the magnetic backing plate on, its so fast and simple.

My car when i got it used had a metal one, i thought it huge and a bit vulgar for such a little standard car. But the worst problem was you needed and alan key (not sure how u spell that) to get into it, its very fiddly and half the screw bits fell down the dashboard this was luckly while removing it, i would somewhat of a problem had i needed them back to fit a new disc.
