Magnetic plate on the paint for advertising?

Hey,

I'm starting my own Amsoil dealer business. Amsoil for those who haven't heard of it it's a high performance synthetic oil. Amsoil makes a complete line of oil from regular pleasure vehicles to high performance blown engines for racing. The site is www.amsoil.com I use it in my truck exclusively and it works great, good stuff!

Amsoil makes a magnetic plate for your vehicle, it magnetically attaches itself to the metal and you can write your phone number on the plate with the Amsoil logo above it. I'm wondering will this harm the paint in any way?

If it's removable, I will remove it everytime I wash and wax my truck. Any advice is welcomed. Thanks,,,,,,,deadman98

I've noticed even the smallest amount of dust on the vehicle will still scratch the paint when the magnet is applied. I guess just make sure the surface is super clean and try not to drag or move the plate around the surface. Good luck!

I have in the past used magnetic American Flags on the sides and the back of my old truck (not the one on the left)and I washed and waxed it often. what I did notice after a year or so the paint turned a very light yellowish under the flags and there were very tiny pock marks also. When I washed and wax I would wash and wax the back of the magnet also and the "slight" discolorization (sp) still happened. Back then I did not know about clay-bar.
