How many times did you apply ScratchX? Perhaps if you apply it a few more times it will help even more with the scratches and swirls. Just a thought.

I am not familiar with that polisher. They don't seem to carry that here in the states, so I don't have any idea how well it will work. Perhaps someone with experience with that polisher will chime in here?

Hi again,

I have applied Scratch-X to the damaged area, it seems to have helped. I will be able to confirm later, once the shine has gone away. I can now see that the metallic paint is still intact in the damaged area after applying scratch-x.

Stupid me for not reading the details on the tin, the reason I thought it would be OK was because my brother bought it for his 2003 model car. Naturally, I thought it would be fitting for my car too. (kinda explains why he had never opened it in the first place )

I will take a photo once the shine is off, but I believe Scratch-X has definitely helped!

Lesson learned.. read the directions! On the website you gave, it specifically states "not for clear coated finishes".

I wouldnt want to use that cleaner/wax on a single stage finish either.... there is no need for that.
