  • Old neglected paint (not clear coated)

Guys, Most threads here are about clear coats. I've got an 1989 F150 thats needs some help. I've got a PC and wanted to know what you guys would do to improve the faded and dull paint.

Try color X it's easily available, other than than M83 or 80 on polishing pad would help. Do small area's until desired results

The most popular combination is #80 with an 8006 pad. Do small sections at a time.

Yeah I think you should use #80 and give that a try.

If you have a PC and a variety of product then you should do a test spot, that will definitely give you the answer to your question.

            Good luck with it!

I use ColorX on my '81 Toyota single stage paint every chance I get between clients. Clay it first then a few coats over a month or so & you'll see really great results for the time & $ w/o getting burned out working on your own ride. The single stage paints can really bead/sheet water nicely when restored w/MEG's. I began my career w/them & enjoy the occasional return back.
