My wife has a new 2007 Jeep Commander and she already has a very small (about the size of two pencil points) paint chip on her hood. What would you recommend? Secondly, does anyone know if the Meguair's Hot Wheels All Wheel Cleaner is really safe on all factory wheels and why it seems to rust the brake rotors after use? I used the product on my two vehicles and noticed that after washing the vehicle and wheels that the brake rotors were rusted.

Paint chips need to be repainted
The wheel cleaner is not rusting the wheels, its actually the water. Most rotors are made of steel that oxidizes when it gets wet. We never notice this normally however, because when you drive in the rain, the heat from the pads acts to keep the rotors dry, and the pads scrubing against them keeps clean. Its nothing to worry about and completely normal.Let's make all of the cars shiny!
