NXT 2.0, very easy to use, durability isn't too bad, gives a decent shine/depth. However, I remember how dark and wet looking DC Carnauba looks, I used it on our black SUV, seemed (to me) that it gives a darker, wetter looking finish. Durability is inferior to NXT 2.0, but more than makes up for it in looks.

It's ok to bring it back from the past, its a good question!

NXT is probably the best quality wax but cleaner wax has paint cleaners in it to help with swirlmarks and oxidation etc. You still have a wax coating when done with cleaner wax, but maybe not quite as "bulletproof" as NXT.

I assume you mean DC3, not DC1. DC1 is a paint cleaner and does not provide protection.

Edit: Woh, this thread was brought back from 3 years ago. Sorry, did not mean to quote something from 3 years ago.

I voted NXT because of the look the product provides, but... like mentioned above depends on what you are trying to accomplish.

Working by hand you would be better with a decicated swirl removal product like ScratchX. I mean it can be done, but not as well.

I use the deep crystal system and after applying the deep crystal wax I wait 12 hours for the wax to cure and then instead of apllying 2 coats of dc3 I apply 1 coat of dc3 and 1 coat of NXT liquid wax and the shine and protection is amazing.

It can sort of replace the 3-steps.

Doing 3 seperate steps will almost always give better results, but if you are in a hurry, short on time, etc, then a cleaner/wax s a fine option, and will give darn good results.
