Hello, new to the forms here. I live in the North East and it is time to clean up the winter grime. What would be the best thing to use on a polished stainless steel exhaust?

Re: How do I clean polished exhaust?
I do this:
Wash
Steel Wool "0000"
Metal Polish
Enjoy the mirror exhaust!
I use the steel wool "0000" because at the body shop we use that for getting off paint over spray on glass and to remove water spots and to polish metal trim. Customers are always happy! but make sure its "0000" grade to be safe

Re: How do I clean polished exhaust?
I don't have any metal polish on hand, but snapped a few photos of what steel wool can do:
I tried to take a photo up underneath so you can see how bad it was. I recently bought this Armada used. The entire exhuast was that brownish color:
This is what it looks like with Steel wool, 00, then 000, then 0000 (please disregard the cleaner wax on that chrome bumper).
Like I say, still haven't polished it yet. I can't wait though!!

Re: How do I clean polished exhaust?
First of all it looks GREAT
yea make sure you use the steel wool "0000" grade I can see the scratch marks it might be from not being taken care of properly... it is safe. Many people are scared about the wool and if it is "0000" on glass or NON painted metal your all good and if your not sure just leave it be. Any metal wax is good by the way.
Again looks like new cant wait to see it polished I might need my Sunglasses to look at it.
