Under what circumstances should Unigrit Sanding Blocks be used after minor touch-ups? What is the best way to use them? Are they better/easier to use than Meguiar's Unigrit Finishing Papers?

It isn't that one is better or easier to use than the other, they are different tools for different jobs.

The blocks are solid and hard. You typically use them for removing raised defects like drips, runs and dust inclusions. The papers are flexible and conform to contours. You typically use them when you need to remove area defect over a surface.

There is overlap in application. At some point choosing tools becomes a matter of craftsmanship, experience and style rather than an absolute.
