I like most anything as long as it's well polished and waxed. I must say though, I've never liked white cars very much, but anything in the gold/tan/almond color group is, IMHO, even worse.
But the OP asked about different colors on different cars, which makes me think of my friend's metallic yellow 350Z; the color is just amazing on that car, but I can't imagine something like a BMW 7 Series in that color. No, that would be wrong. Blood red on a Ferrari F430 is, of course, beautiful but it would look out of place on a Maybach. The bright green available on the Lamborghini Gallardo (sort of metallic granny smith apple green) probably can't be pulled off by anything but a Lambo. Outlandish is as outlandish does, ya know?
I am a bit partial to dark gray metallic though and have yet to see a car in that color that I didn't like.

frankly, it depends on the car.
as a rule of thumb, black works on %99.99 of cars
red is a great color, but there are so many bad variations
metallic orange is another great color
I like black on some cars, but it has to be well kept and look nice with the rest of the car. I personally like white a lot, when its all polished up, in my opinion, it looks better than black. I also really like the whole color scheme of our Jeep, the tires and trim and stuff all goes together real nice...
