    Re: 2007 civic need HElP

i got some noob questions also.
i will be doing everything with my hands. no machine.
what do you guys think about that? if its not worth it i can defiantly get a machine for like 20-30 bucks from wall mart.
-ok so questions- when i use DC #1 should i apply this to the entire vehicle?
or just parts that i think need it? Does this step take off some of my clear coat to even everything out?
    - i have DC#3 carnebula wax. can i layer this wax?

ill try and answer your questions

      1. DC 1 the whole car. do a panel at a time. work in with applicator or terry cloth and then remove after the panel is done.

      2. a machine form walmart i wouldnt bother investing in. but thats my .02. there are better alternatives besides the 30 buck machine.

      3. dc 1 uses diminishing abrasives. it may remove .00001 of your clear coat. you shoud be fine.

      4. yes you can layer dc 3. no need for more than 2 coats though. i went to extremes and let it dry overnight, then removed with a mircofibre. then another coat that same morning for about 1/2 hour. it works fine.
2001 Granite Sentra Se - Brought back to a brilliant shine via meguiars. took 6+ hours of work. i'm currently loving its' shine.

For what it is worth. If I had a choice between getting a pc or a pressure washer, I would go with the pc. You sound like you have a few cars you will be detailing. To me the washing is the easy part. comparing it to hand applying all the polish and waxes. You would probably be happier in the long run with a pc. just my 0.02. Good luck, and keep mom's new car shining.

            moms new car : (

what do you mean by PC? and yah i don't think i want a pressure washer no more. washing is the easy part and i can do it with a normal hose/nozzle.
any good but cheap buffers/polishers or what ever they are called out there? thanks alot
