First of all I wanted to say this place is really informative. I have learned so much so far. Anyway my Solara is three monts old and I noticed days after picking up the car that there were sratches on the clear plasic inserts that cover the cd player and gear shift. I believe they got there due to dealer prep? I know better next time when buying a new car to tell them no dealer prep. Funny how dealers make you pay for dealer prep, but in turn cause so much damage that takes time to repair.
I plan to try Plastx on those pieces but can I use it on the fake plastic cherry wood pieces covering door inserts and dash? You can really notice those scratches and it's really bothering me! I don't want to discolor those pieces. Thanks in advance for any input you have.

I know how you feel, I got the complementary dealer instilled swirl in the paint.

PlastX should work fine, have you had a chance to try it yet?

      Hey,

I second the PlastX. Just be sure to really work it using light pressure. It is not a rub on, wipe off product. It contains diminishing abrasives that must be broken down. Therefore, using a high quality MF towel like Meg's Ultimate Wipe, try a test spot. Work the PlastX until it virtually disappears, then wipe off gently with another clean MF towel.

Good Luck and keep us posted!
