    Re: Which Products

    hello and welcome to MOL!!!

Will you be doing this by hand? or do you have a machine polisher like the PC/g-100?

    Is this a daily driver?

what kind of results are you after? show car shine or just quick wash and wax?

how much time do you want to spend detailing?

is the car heavily swirled and in need of some good paint cleaners?

here are some links that should help you get started and then you can post any other questions you have.

    Step 1 Wash

    Step 2 Clean

    Step 3 Polish

    Step 4 Protect

    Step 5 Maintain

    How To Clay Paint

there are a few different approaches you can take. post some pics and then we can take it from there.

but for a nice shine you can start with the following.

    Wash
    Clay
M80 - i like M80 as it doesn't marr the finish and gives the paint i've used it on a nice finish
#6 or #7 - not really needed as m80 has enough oils in it, but some people like to use it
    NXT x 2
and if you want you can follow this with 21 or NXT is just fine on its own.

or maybe all your car needs is the following.

    Wash
    Clay
    Colour - X
M#66 - you can skip this if you want
    NXT x 2

I'd do a test spot on the hood and see what works and what gives you the results you're after. that is where you tape off a section of the hood, say a 12 x 12 square area, place a piece of blue/green painters tape down the middle and polish one side using the products of your choice and then pull the car out into the sunlight and see what results you achieved.

let us know. post some pics.

i have a link for a great article but can't post it b/c MEGS doesn't allow outside links. just PM me if you want it. its about white paint and detailing.

      Re: Which Products

You'll have to be carefull not to get tied up between different companies terminology. Give these links a read so you get Meguairs way of doing things, and of course you can ask any questions as well.
