        Re: start to finish...

i apply, as many other do using a PC G-100 Dual Action Polisher by Meguiars. Porter Cable sells the same one just without the life time warranty.

some guys do apply by hand, and you can achieve awesome results by hand, just it takes longer.

check this thread out. mike did this all by hand.

Both, though of course an electric polisher would be better. Here are a few more links to check out...

              Re: start to finish...

The Cleaner/Wax is a good product, but quite mild. I actually prefer ColorX as it is a bit stonger of a cleaner. I really like ColorX since it lets me do a quicker, but very good looking detail when I am short on time. Like usually.

But both are the same idea, so let me describe a few simple details you could do, that should answer your questions.

              1. Wash
              2. Cleaner/Wax or ColorX

              1. Wash
              2. Clay if needed
              3. Cleaner/Wax or ColorX

              1. Wash
              2. Clay if needed
              3. Cleaner/Wax or ColorX

              1. Wash
              2. Clay if needed
              3. Cleaner/Wax or ColorX
              4. Wax - Nxt or #21 are really nice.

Hope that gives you some ideas, and see if it works for you. It is kind of nice to have a product for faster details, since it will let you detail more often, or spruce up a friend/family members car quickly when they ask you.
