  • Car Care in Tropical Country

Hi.. i have a question for detailing cars in tropic area. i live in indonesia, the country with tropical weather condition. now the weather is very windy, there is bright sun in 6-12AM, cloudy or raining in 1-4PM and continue with the afternoon sun till 6PM. terrible condition for car care lover

if rain comes and we are in the highway dirt, grime, asphalt etc are stick to our car.. in hot season we have dust all over the car and sometimes it sticks with grime from diesel exhaust (public transportation).

in rainy season we have problem mostly in water spot. it's kinda hard water spot, that you can feel it when you rubbing your car with an empty hand..

so.. what should i do to restore my car condition?
    condition :
    1. hard water spot (im sure above and below paint surface)
    2. scratches and swirl mark
    3. the paint looks not bright

my car : Black Nissan XTrail 2004

    Thx

I live in a Tropical Country too and its really hard to keep your car looking good with the weather we have, but i still try my best to keep it looking good. I wax my car monthly and do a full detail either by hand or with a G100 twice year and sometimes with a rotary if needed. Here are some links you can read through. Hope it helps

Yup, I live in Manila. I got my G100 from the states I have a sister who lives in New York, I order my stufff online and have its shipped to her and she ships it to me here in Manila, I also get most of my Meguiar's stuff from there.

You can try amazon.com, they have both the G100 and the Porter cable and I think they ship outside the U.S. You have to be careful thou because its both rated at 110 Volts you have to use a transformer to be able to use it in a 220 Volt socket.

The G100 was around $150 from Auto Detailing Solutions plus shipping but they don't ship outside the US.
