What the best way to get the most dirt out of our dirty towels, but at the same time keep their softness?

Wash them in hot water with a soap like Tide, put them through 2 rinse cycles to insure all the soap is rinsed out. Dry them in the dryer under the normal setting.

We have never had any negative issues when using fabric softners with cotton towels in the dryer.
For what it's worth we typically don't use cotton towels any more to wipe products off of paint except for maybe compounds during the early steps in a complete rotary buff-out because at this stage any toweling scratches instilled during the wipe-off will be removed during the next steps.

Re: How to clean towels
ahh, Thanks a bunch Mike.
I thought these were cotton towels? I only have 4 of these and its the only towels I use to remove cleaner/polish/wax. Is it ok to use these? Will I put scratches back into the back since they are cotton?

Re: How to clean towels
Those are cotton towels and using cotton towels doesn't mean you're going to instill scratches into the paint, however microfiber polishing cloths are more gentle to the finish, it's a one thing tends to be better than the other thing.
Using the best polishing cloth helps you to reduce the potential to instill swirls and scratches.
Your job, my job, our job is to always be about reducing the potential to instill swirls and scratches into scratch-sensitive clear coat paints by the tools we use, (polishing cloths), chemicals, pads, machines, wash mitts, etc.
Alway think like this...
Reduce the potential

Re: How to clean towels
Thanks a bunch Mike. I wish I would of known that. I just bought another cotton towel about a week ago. They had the Megs Micro Fibers also, but I thought these were better. I try to buy some towels whenever I get a few extra bucks.
Sorry that I hi-jacked the thread.
I usually just put them in the washer like Mike said. I always dry them on a lower temp though. Sometimes I leave them alittle damp and let them air dry.Current Jeep: 2004 Jeep Liberty with stuff
