  • help!!! my GF just spilled clorox 2 on her car seat

2007 toyota camry. She stopped by her moms house and had the clorox 2 for colors sitting on her backseat(yes that is crazy) and it leaked all over the seat. I am not sure if this will harm the seat or not. I would think that regular bleach woul but I am not sure if the clorox 2 will. the clorox 2 doesnt have chlorine in it. If I were home I would probably try and get the seat out and rinse it out but I wont be back until monday. what do you guys think? oh and it is cloth seats

and here is the product I am talking about

If it doesn't contain bleach in it then it shouldn't harm the carpet. But if she is worried about it and if she has a steam cleaner she can soak it up with that.

well it is 1-5% hydrogen peroxide. I feel alot better now that it is the carpet. She is gonna go wet down the area that it spilled on then rub it with a dry towel. I guess that is about the best we can do.

Does she own a wet vac? If she soaked the carpet anough she can use the wet vac get most of it out.

If enough got spilled, get a big bag of oil-dry from Sam's (kitty litter like) , dump 2- 3 inches on the area, and pack down. Turn it over a couple of times over a couple of days. It will leave some dust, but will sweep up and vac up nicely. It will still pick up oil in the garage /driveway after this, too.
