I was using the Meguiars overspray bar with the Quick Detailer and noticed that I was leaving residue on my paint. I have used teh Quick Detailing system befire and loved the way it worked. I also noticed that the over spray barsw said to use Final Inspection, I that why I am getting marks, due to the different lubricant?

clay bar marks
Question? Is the clay bar sticking when you run it over the paint, becaues this is what is probably leaving the marks. Do one section at a time making sure to use enough lube and wipe the section off with a towel. If the clay bar starts to stick, spray a little more lube on the area. You can also lube the clay bar itself from time to time.

see that's just the thing, the car was cool and the clay was well lubricated, I have used clay on tons of cars before, but it has always been the quick clay. So, is that the problem then, does the overspray clay have to be used with Final Inspection or no?99 Ford Contour SVT

CLAY
maybe you are just pushing down on the clay to hard, making it stick. Just glide it over the surface of the car and use your hand to check for the smoothness of the finish.Keeping MOL family friendly!
