  • Is NXT over #6 ok?

    Dear all,

I was wondering if I could top #6 with NXT liquid. Is it possible? Cos' I've been reading the contents of this forum and apparently people tend to top a synthetic LSP with a carnauba LSP.

Can it be done the other way around?

The reason I asked this is because I used to top #6 with 2 thin coats of #26. Don't get me wrong, #26 is the best wax IMO when it comes to gloss and depth but I wanted to try NXT as it is Meg's best wax in terms of protection.

Here in Indo, protection is very needed with all this unpredictable weather and dust everywhere!

Thank you all in advance. Btw, a special thanks to Murr1525 for the reply on my other thread and also gorin2000 for the warm welcome!

Now applying a cleaner wax first in this case #6 then applying NXT is just fine. #6 will help prepare and clean the surface prior to the application of NXT.

Here is a post to read over, not sure it will really answer your question but its good reading: What's the deal with "Layering?"
