      mike,

      thanks again....

i used scratch x on one set of hood scratches and it has made a difference..so tomorrow ill attack the entire hood...much less noticeable..

as for the touch up paint,,...scratch x removed very little..they are here to stay unless a pro wants to tackle that problem...used a dab of rubbing compound...bad idea...created scratches around the touch up paint...had to use scratch x again to remove those...

jmanero123, when you refer to the touch up paint, are you trying to remove excess paint once you have put it on? If so, I have used a product called Touch-Up Magic which seems to soften the touch up paint after it has been applied and dried and removes the excess globs and blobs. The bottle states that it works with ANY touch-up paint or touch-up pen. I have used this several times and it gives me great results, I have never tried using 80 or 83 to do this, but I would guess it would probably work just as well. I purchased my bottle at the car dealer, but I have seen it on the net also.

Also do a web search under LANGKA Paint Chip and Scratch Repair, I have heard a lot of good stories about their kits and they have detailed information on their web site as to how to repair chips and scratches.

hi jezroj..thanks a lot for the info..yeah ...i applied the touch up paint about three weeks ago....but used a wide brush and it looks poor.....i should have used a fine art paint brush as mike has suggested...

i will try to get touch up magic..at my ford dealer?? if not...online???

i'll search the other names you mentioned as well...thanks a million...
