In my experience, you can not ruin your car by using a PC unless your using a cutting pad which is it not recommended.

Yep, its hard to get yourself going. I found it best to do all the ScratchX work in one go, rather than doing a panel and finishing it off with polish and wax. I have a bad back and I knew I would be hard pressed to get going if I did it panel by panel. Although the finished panel maybe a good motivator for others

Well I am disabled. We recently picked up a 05 Chrysler Sebring. Ido not have a pc to use. To say that there were swirls on this car would be understatement! So I attacked it with scratchx. It took me six days, work a section one day rest next work another section. It was alot of work bot well worth it. I improved the appearance of the car by 75%. Now I am trying to remove the rest by using #80 by hand. If you have the passion its well worth the effort. By the way I called all the Lowes in our area and to order the pc it would be a special order. THey do not have them in stock.

I've done a whole car with ScratchX too. Minimum 2 passes, and on some parts I did 4 passes. I spread it out over 2-3 days. Talk about sore arms! It looked soo much nicer once it was done, so it was well worth it. Now I have a PC though.

I tried ScratchX on a fine scratch on my car and it didn't get rid of it. When I run my finger across it you can't even feel the scratch. I did it 3 time's with ScratchX. What else can I use to get rid of them?

I have been down that road as well, I thought it wasn't working but you have to really rub it in and work it properly, use a small piece of terry towel.

I have done both of my cars, sure it takes some time but it really isn't that bad.

It could be too deep? Not all scratches can be removed by hand or machine.
