  • NXT= Darkness whoa factor

I recently used NXT for the first time on my Tangerine Candy paint. This was my first wax since I painted it about three months ago. Im overwhelmed at how much darker the candy is since. Is this normal? I know the bottle says " Your paint will be darker and richer and the shine will be the deepest, clearest you've ever seen" but wow, it was night and day difference. I wish I had some before and after pics to show but I dont.
Anyone else see this drastic change in color?

While it was not a "drastic" change, I did feel it made my wife's Bright Red Pontiac Grand Prix look darker. I used it for one summer and gave the remainder away because I didn't care for the darkening effect.

My car also had a drastic color change with NXT.

Another way to describe the effect Meguiar's polishes and waxes provide is richer in color, which means about the same thing as darker except on discussion forums you have a handful of people that try to misconstrue darker to be a bad thing.

        Richer in color

        As in,

"NXT brought out the rich color of my candy tangerine paint"

Ah, Mike. You do have a way with words.
By the way, I didn't say it was a bad thing, just that I didn't care for it.
It is still part of my product mix for friends freebie jobs.
#80 followed by NXT works great. Possibly some #83 in a few spots.
Quick, easy, looks great and they can maintain it with just the NXT. They con't, but they sure could.
