A12 (Consumer Cleaner/Wax) is a carnuba blend, so it has some carnuba and some synthetic ingrediants. I would imagine it has some sort of silicone in it, but it certainly isnt body shop safe at any rate.
Because there are several types of silicone and some are harmful for the painting... It would be practical to know this piece of information...
All traces of silicone LSP should be removed from the exterior surface of the car before painting anyway. Any reputable painter should know this. If not, I would go eslewhere!
My point is that any traces of silicone are easily removed with a solvent before repainting. Besides, they should do that anyway.
It is less problematic than Taflon? Do you believe that another wax type (eg: acrylic, polymer) could be affected by a wax with silicone which was before applied to the painting?
Are you refering to silicone/t*flon being bad if on the paint prior to painting, or that you have heard it is bad to have silicone on the paint at all?
