I'll try and explain this as best as I can.
Just finished a black Viper last night. The paint was in excelent shape outside of a few swirls(which were removed yesterday).
My question is, before I touched the car, it has a crystal clear finish on it aside from the few swirls. Where there were no swirls you could see a perfect black finish. I went over the entre car with 80 and a 8006 pad, then waxed with 26 and a 9006 pad 2 times, and removed the wax with a 7006 pad with a microfiber bonnet. Now it has a sort of feathering effect all over the entire surface. It's not anything real negative looking. The owner said he could hardly notice, but it was plain as day to me. It was only noticable when you were up close, but it was there.
Any ideas on what this could be? I haven't ever noticed it before this car, and the paint surface was pretty hard on this Viper.
I couldn't get a good picture of it. I have some of the car, but not the effect that I'm talking about.
Thanks
Nick
