You need to ask the Service Manager to setup an appointment with the VW Factory Representative. At that point the three of you need to evaluate the situation and you need to stand firm on your demands. When all three of you are there, a decision will be made, there is no one else that they can point the finger at, either the dealer or VWOA will have to take some sort of responsibility. Chances of them replacing the vehicle are slim but that is where you need to stand your ground, once you feel that is not going to happen, you need to stand firm on you picking your own repair shop/detailer and them picking up the whole tab.
