  • Why do these waxes all look the same???

I have a 2003 Tahoe in Light Pewter Metallic. I keep her cleaned and clayed and washed monthly. About 2 weeks ago, i applied 2 coats of #26. Tonite I cleaned out the garage and found an old bottle of Gold Class Liquid. It's about a year and a half old. Just for grins, I Quick Detailed my tailgate and applied a thin coat of #26 on one side and some Gold Class Liquid on the other side. After removing them, both sides looked the same. So either:

A.) The previous 2 coats of #26 are masking the effects of the Gold Class
B.) There is not alot of difference between the GC and the #26
C.) My paint is in excellent condition and waxing with either product produces a minimal visual difference

    Any ideas?

GC and #26 are both carnuba blends, so they are already similar, and between your paint color, condition, etc, you are going to end up with stuff being similar.

Yup I agree wt Murr1525, as long as the paintwork is in excelent condition. I guess that's pretty much It'll get. Maybe a bit more glossy and reflection. But there are difference in how slick and smooth the surface between different waxes. This is my personal opinion though. Not to mention durability too. Tht's as good as it gets. Hehehe.

If it was a black car you MAY notice a difference. You may also notice a difference in how they last.. I have both and I really like #26. I didnt use #7 before I used GC though. I used DC2 with GC, that may be the difference? It sure stays slick though!
