Hello all,
Where shall I start? Okay, so, if you have been watching my signature you will see how many 'panels' are completed-by completed I mean: clayed, swirl removal, 2 layers of wax such that I will have nice winter protection on our Quest.
However, just when I thought I was just about done (I needed tape in order to do the hatch) BAM! Swirls! How? Well, at first, I blamed myself for using a sponge and possibly dragging some dirt along the surface, yadda yadda yadda I know have a Deep Chenille Meguiar's Mitt and a grit guard in the mail. Right after I make the order however, it clicked. My Dad got the van rust proofed with Krown, which is the best rust proofing, period. Though, it seems that they don't know how to wash a vehicle. That's right, the venerable swirl free paint was damaged by THEM washing it! There are also three long light scratches caused by someone's hand!
ARRRRGHHHHH! 10 hours of reconditioning the paint with an hour here and there (hey, I'm a student ya' know!), late night detailing
-ALL down the DRAIN! The cobwebbing is BRUTAL! Honestly, you guys should see it. I think the paint now has the brush-on-the-ground-now-slapped-on-the-paint-syndrome. I want to take pictures so I'll see about getting a camera.
