Not sure this will help but there are some links in this post: Special forum just for questions about so-called paint protection plans and products

      Re: dealer paint sealer

The best explanation I can give is something that is sprayed on isn't a as effective as applied with contact, either by machine or hand. I tell my customers that if the protection that dealer's sell you was that good, everybody's car would stay shiny forever. If they want their car to look good, it needs to be washed, prepared and waxed by somebody who knows car detailing, not a car dealer who just sells cars. That stuff they put on cars doesn't eliminate swirls and scratches, a person with the proper tools, products, passion and technique can make any car look great and stay looking great.

I would tell them that all paint protection products eventually wear away. Therefore, they would be better off waxing or claying and waxing their car regularly.
