  • Help with black paint

After seeing my black car was looking very swirled, I decided it was time to clean it up before it too cold. I clayed the car the other day and started to rid the paint of swirls. I tried some 83 with a new Meguires pad, then switched to 82. The bigger swirls are slowly going away, but now I have several smaller ones. I don't have a Brinkman light, but I used a 2million candle watt light. The paint also has a milky look to it, when the light is directed on it. In normal light and florencent light, the paint has a nice shine to it. My car is a '96 Nissan, and it's a single stage, except for the passenger fender and door, which were painted from an accident 6 years ago. Does it sound like I need to work with the PC7424 more, or is it time for a rotary buffer?

It does sound like the products may not be getting worked in enough, or moving the PC around too quickly.
