Did you put it in yet? Mine is full of it... Now how to get it out. Maybe I'll siphon it out. Just can't win sometimes... lol

No didn't put it in yet but I do have to get Turtle Wax's washer fluid out... after I poured it in I read the bottle saying it only protects to 25 degrees!?!? not that great here in Iowa during the winter, I guess thats why TW was on clearance this fall.

I would stay away from this product. I did a detail on a black Montero Sport some years ago, the owner used Rain-X wiper fluid, and it left two dull gray streaks on the hood around the squirters. Nothing I couldn't fix with some cleaner wax, but the product apparently stripped the wax off.

I only use the stuff when its raining for this reason. The orange stuff is also a bug wash and de-icer. Im sure it has some very rough stuff in it..

I used to have Rain-X windshield wiper fluid and it didn't do much.

Alcohol will get it off. Use a terry towel and soak it with the alcohol. It should take it all off.

Thanks for all the tips and tricks everyone. Well, I washed the truck again today.....and it did it again!!! This is so strange!! Does anyone have any tips for removing Rain-x? As of right now I do not recommend using Rain-x wipes. I will purchase regular Rain-x this week. If I can figure out how to remove the current application, I will apply traditional Rain-x to one window and then apply a Rain-x wipe to the next one. I will give equal time to dry and remove the haze. I'll post back here when I do this little test. Who knows, it might just be the wipes........

Try removing it with some glass cleaner and #0000 steel wool, but please be carefull! although I have never heard of this damaging glass, use caution because you are using an abrasive.

Doesn't Wal-Mart sell Aquapel? I know they sell an alternative to Rain-X along with Rain-X.

I have had outstanding luck with Amsoil Rain Clear, a little harder to use than Rain-X but works better and lasts longer, especialy when coupled with Rain-X washer fluid.
I think they may have changed the pakaging and now call it BriteSide Rain Clear, I assume the formulas are the same.
still want to try Aquapel, but its to pricey for customer cars

I did a little looking around for Aquapel. Tirerack has it for $8 each. There is also a really cool video comparing it to Rain X over on autoblog.com. Shows the two on a windshield of a mini from day 1 to 72. The Rain X is gone way before the Aquapel. I love Rain X, but I just might have to check out Aquapel. Thanks for the tip also '96lude'.

I cannot stand being in a car that doesnt have rain-x. Im not to sure why it didnt work for you, but Ive never had any problems with the water not beading..

Thanks everyone!! The idea of applying and then washing is a great one!! I have never used traditional Rain-x, just the wipes. You can feel the amount of alcohol in the wipes as your applying them(I assume to aid in drying) . Thank you 96lude, I will look for that brand.
