  • M21 Question for Mike Phillips

Yesterday was the second time that I have used M21 Synthetic Sealant on my truck. I first went over the truck with M80 and then applied the M21 as my Last Step Product. When I am applying the M21 with the G100 I notice very small water droplets (or it appears to be water droplets) as I am apply it. Are the droplets normal?

After I have applied a thin layer over the entire truck I left it dry. It seems to take a very long time to completely set up. I left it sit for about 45 minutes, and after performing the swipe test, the product streaks as if it is not completely set up yet. I left it sit a little longer and it still never fully set up before I ended up wiping it off. The first time that I applied M21 to my truck back in July, it did the same thing. I took well over an hour for the product to fully set up before I could remove it without any streaking. Does this product really take this long to set up or could I be doing something wrong?

The droplet are referred to as sweating and we've seen this before and while I'm not sure that it's supposed to happen, it won't affect the performance of the product.

The drying time sounds way off also, this product should dry fairly quickly if you apply a thin coat in average temperatures and humidity.

Call Customer Care at 1-800-347-5700 and cite this thread and lets get some new product into your hands to try and hopefully you'll see a difference in performance.

Re: M21 Question for Mike Phillips

        Hey guys,
I have a 64 oz. bottle of 21 that I've had shortly after it was released. I know we've been down this road before in other threads, but my experience is that it does sweat some when applied, and I'm not positive of this, but maybe humidity plays a factor? When I've used the product during the hot humid summer months here, the sweating seemed to be worse and I had streaking problems, even after letting it dry for quite a while. I used it again on my black car Saturday, the temperature was around 70 degrees and very nice outside. While I did notice some sweating, it was minimal and after letting the product sit for around an hour, I didn't have any streaking issues.
