  • How long to wait

I did a quick search and still have a question. I just picked up my Jeep from a body shop from having hail damage fixed. The hood was replaced and painted. I noticed when I got it home in the sunlight, there are some fine scratches in the clear like when they wiped the hood down it made like straight "swirl" marks in it. I really don't want to take it back to them because evidently they aren't as picky as me and the scratches will come out with a PC and #83. I just need to know how long to wait before I can use #83 on it. Thanks.

I had my hood painted 2 or 3 weeks ago. Cant remember which now. I had swirls too and a few sanding marks they did not buff out. You can use 83,80,82 on it today if you want. You just do not want to wax it. I would start out with 80 first if I was you. I started out with 82 and that did not do too much for me. I then jumped up to 80 and took them right out. Just keep the area clean for the 60-90 then you can wax it.

Cool! I was thinking I could go ahead and do it but wasn't sure. I'll start with 80 and the pc and if that doesn't work, I'll step up to 83 with the pc. Thanks again!
