Hey guys, just a quick question. What exactly are terry towels? Are they the same as 100% cotton bath towels? Are those suitable for drying a car after a wash? Thanks!
i think because of their small size, they're most suitable for removing waxes, and polishes. the larger waffle weave towels are most suitable for drying because of they're design.
Well, like most things, there are different levels of quality. Most bath towels are 100% terry cloth towels, but some are a lot softer and plusher than others.
You can use them, but I think most of them would risk putting some swirls in your car.
Terry is the style of weave. Bath towels are usually made of some kind of terrycloth (but not always 100% cotton).
Terrycloth is fluffy with lots of little loops of fibers. Terrycloth can be made with any kind of thread but for on automotive paint you should use only very soft, plush towels made of 100% cotton or microfiber.
