  • some "ive never done this before" questions

ok, just picked up some liquid ntx tech wax and some F21 turtle polish. I would still like to use a clay bar.

will mothers clay bar brake down in ntx car wash??? or do i have to use the QD that comes with the kit (the mothers kit is the only clay bar i see anyware and i really want to clay when (after) im washing)

can i apply liquid tech wax with a microfiber applicator?

how long does the supplyed foam aplicator last?

once you got the wax on the car, can you take it off with a regular (quality) microfiber cloth?

is there anything the "noob idiots" usually do when waxing that you guys laugh at?

your answers are appriciated, and even if I do mess up, it wont be on my new car, but my dads truck (he bought the wax)

Ok you obviously did not read that entire article but that’s ok.

First, mothers kit does not come with Meguiar’s QD. The Meguiar’s Smooth surface clay kit comes with QD, a cleaner wax sample, two pieces of clay, and a MF towel. I would stay far from mothers clay bar. And yes, you are going to want to use the QD with the clay.

The NXT tech wax comes with a foam app pad. I would simply use whats provided, or a High-tech app pad from Meguiar’s.

You can either remove the wax with a 100% terry towel, or a quality MF towel.

        Your entire steps should include:

        1.) Wash and Dry
        2.) Clay
        3.) Cleaner (DC1)
        4.) Pure Polish (DC2, or #7)
5.) Wax x2. Two thin coats of Nxt will do the trick.

          to MOL theRIAA!

I have no idea how Mothers clay reacts to NXT Wash.

Microfiber applicators work great with NXT Tech Wax.

The foam applicator lasts a long time if you don’t snag it on things or gunk it up with grit, tar or nasty slime. I wash them.

Quality microfiber towels are an excellent choice for removing Tech Wax. (By regular I assume you mean plush towels similar to the Supreme Shine Microfiber as opposed to a waffle weave or smooth weave or some other specialized towel.)

One mistake that’s common for old hands as well as noobs is putting it on too thick. Think thin, really thin. Even coverage, but thin, thin, thin.
