As can be expected with most items on the market, you really get what you pay for. In my experience, the microfiber market (which is very saturated right now) is no different.
Meguiar's makes a VERY nice microfiber towel called the 'ULTIMATE WIPE'. I have 15 or so of this particular towel and they are VERY nice! You can read about them here.
So, in recap, my nice MF towels (like the ultimate wipe) are all reserved for my paint. The cheapies that I've experimented with that came from Wal-Mart as well as other similar retail outlets are reserved for door jams and wheels as I consider those nearly disposable now.
I will second the Ultimate Wipe recommendation! I have many of them and love them. I also have many cheap ones that as others have suggested get delegated to other duties.
Well leave it to me to be the weird one. I too have some ultimate wipes which are great and clearly to superior to the ones from Wal-Mart....but...that being said I actually have had good luck with the Wal-Mart towels. They are certainly not the best out there but I think for what they cost, and the results ***I*** have been getting from them they are a steal.
Or course if I had more play money I would ditch them in a second and buy more ultimate wipes
