Hey gang,

I notice some of the pro detailers who detail on location use a portable carport. I was wondering what brand and size they use? I was also wondering how hard they are to put up, tear down and what they use to hold them to the ground while working? Thanks for all your help.

i cant speak for anyone else, but i just picked up a quik set up 12x12 canopy at pepboys 2 weeks ago. it was $120 w/ a $20 mail in rebate.

2 people can put it up in a minute or 2 literally. 1 can do it, but its somewhat of a struggle (i used to use my dads 10x10 for car shows before)

they had what i would could only assume are lead weights (a box that was maybe 8x8x2 weighed quite a bit) that you put on the corner foot pads if you are putting it up on a hard surface (blacktop)

I have use E-Z-Up type canopies before and if you use sand bags that clip to the legs, that works really well.

I'm going to be working out of my car for a little while so I need something a little compact and easy to put together with one person. I found this little canopy setup at KMart online. I think it will suffice on what I need to do with it.
