  • Black plastic trim restored with M39 & M38 (beware I think I took too many pictures)

To start off I know I posted this in the Detailing101 forum because it wasn't an extreme makeover. It was just restoring the plastic trim and I thought it'll help people that have the same problem I did.
I used M39 Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner, M38 Tire and Trim Dressing Gel (which is now my favorite dressing for exterior plastic btw), and the triple duty detail brush.

These are photos just to show how well these products worked in restoring the black plastic trim.
Here's pictures of the trim after M39:
Faded bed rails (it helped but didn't fix how bad they were) For the bed rails I'll need a dye or have to replace them.

Here's the hood vents after M39 which make them look new again.

Here's some pictures of the rear bumper (side by side comparison with M39)

Now keep in mind a dressing wasn't used yet, so the above pictures only show the results after M39.
Now here's some pictures after M38:

Here's a pic of the other side of the rear bumper that had nothing done to it yet:

Here's the other side that had been cleaned with M39 and dressed with M38:

Bed rail looks better but still looks crappy.

Another note is the M38 actually didn't leave an artificial shiny look, idk why some of the pictures make it look that way. The dressing made them look new and was dry to the touch.

WOW! Very nice... Impressive results! I have never used #39 but I do have #38 and really like the look and ease of use, its very economical in the jumbo 32oz container!

They've discontinued #39? Is this true?

            I think he means #38 I hope...

But do keep us up to date on the durability nonetheless. Looks great for 2 simple products.

Yeah only the Tire and Trim Dressing Gel (M38) is discontinued.

I've got a test ready too, it's gonna be raining for the next 4 days in my area. But I'm going to finish up getting the trim around the sunroof, windows, and sidemirrors tomarrow morning (it's garaged but I'm always going places)

Where can you find these two products because I don't think I can recall seeing them anywhere??

You can find the M39 just about anywhere that sells the mirror glaze line, like Meguiars.com and I've seen it at PBE shops before. And you find get both M38 and M39 from Autodetailingsolutions. But the M38 is a discontinued product, and Rick from ADS only has a limited supply.
