  • QD on windows?

I have been using QD on my windows the past few washes and it works great! I get the exterior windows pretty clean with my wash, then dry, then QD and a MF...works great...is this common practice?

I have never tried it.. I always use either: Stoner glass cleaner, or meg's' NXT gen glass cleaner.

Ive done it, works purty good IMHO. I use rain-x on the windows also. Use stoners on the inside windows, along with 20/20 eagle one from time to time.

In between washes, I often use a QD to clean off bugs and other stuff from the windscreen. After washing I mostly just wipe the windows with a MF, or sometimes a dedicated glass cleaner.

Meguiars NXT window cleaner beats them all hands down.

I used to be a huge stoners fan until I tried NXT. If I could only have 2 Meguiars products on hands, they would be #80 and NXt window cleaner.

Go to Autopia.org review section, and you will see amougnst a huge cross section of detailers, NXT is the highest rated window cleaner. On top of that, it leaves behind some time of protectant that makes the water bead for several weeks after cleaning them. Its an amazing product.

ar_mike, yes Stoners is safe to use on window tint. I use it often with good results. Most important thing is, make sure whatever cleaner you use on tinted windows has no ammonia.

Quik Detailer is formulated for use on paint, in a jam, if it's all you have you could use it, but without careful wipe-off you could see some smears. You will get better performance as in better cleaning, more clarity and easy of use by using a product formulated specifically for glass like NXT Glass Cleaner.

As mentioned in this thread already and as backed-up by everyone I've asked at our Saturday classes that has compared our glass cleaner to the competition, our Glass Cleaner is the best on the market.

I think the NXT glass cleaner is second best. The best is the glass cleaner from the D-line. I didn't even have to use a second dry MF to buff out the streaks because there were none!

I think NXT glass cleaner works better than rain-x to shed the water in rain. It is also far far far far easier to use.
