  • Very Hot Chrome / Stainless Steel

Is NXT Generation All Metal Polysh good to use on chrome parts that get really hot (like motorcycle exhaust pipes and such)?

It looks like it's fine for that sort of thing but just checking. I have step three for waxing but I might try All Metal Polysh.

    Thanks in advance...

The Nxt Metal Polysh will be much better on the exhaust than the Deep Crystal #3 Wax.

Nxt Metal Polysh works great on my cars exhaust tips / mufflers.

Yea, what he said. I've used NXT Metal Polysh on a few different exhaust tips and have had good results.

I was also thinking about getting either plastx clear or NXT Gen Tech for the outside plastic stuff.

Does it matter or are they both just as good?

Well, depends what plastic you are refering to.

Painted plastic can be treated like paint, and clayed/ cleaned/polished/waxed.

Bare plastic, like the gray textured stuff, etc, can be clayed, and dressed with a plastic dressing, like Nxt Tech Protectant, All-Season Dressing, Gold Class Trim Dressing, etc.

Clear plastic can be treated with PlastX, or even gently waxed.

And you can also clay your chrome/aluminum parts.

I'm glad I asked. I did see that the products seemed to be for different types of plastic.

This is the bike. The three round peices above the pipes in the engine are plastic (the bike is only 3 months old and all parts are still stock). Would those be considered "painted" plastic? There are one or two small scratches on the plastic from debris but there isn't a different color underneath. That's what's throwing me off. One or two of the covers get very hot and the third does not (it's the air filter).

You can treat those like chromed metal even though they are plastic. Much like treating painted plastic like painted metal.

I dunno.. I have that kind of 'chromed' plastic stuff on my car, and I wouldnt want to go working a metal polish on it.

Not sure if yours is that same kind of material.
