    hello everyone..

i just picked up a used black magnum sxt, it was a dealer demo, car is in perfect condition, minus the washes they gave it, water and a wet rag = swirl-mania..

as of now ive tried the following:

    washed with nxt soap
color x with my 10inch orbital, using a terry cloth bonnet
nxt liquid wax with 10inch orbital, usng a gold class foam bonnet..

while it looked pretty good after i was done, it seems like it more or less filled the swirls then removed any..

the products i have right now to give a shot at it are as follows..

megs speed glaze #80 i beleive the number is..
    #7 polish
    #26 high tech yellow
    gold class liquid wax
    color x
    nxt tech wax
    3m liquid swirl remover/rubbing compound
    scratch x

    mf bonnets
    terry bonnets
    gold class foam bonnets..

can anyone reccomend a procedure using what have already for best results..i plan on getting a g100, but untill then, ide like to do my best with what i have..

btw i cant see myself doing the entire car by hand with scratch x, lol

reccomendations, tip/tricks, advice is very much appreciated...

I might suggest some sort of doggie bubble bath, and I'm not so sure your buddy appreciates the 10" buffer....

At this time, probably your best bet is with the ScratchX and a microfiber bonnet on your polisher.

Okay Mike, hold on a sec, I thought ScratchX was only for use by hand. I was about to do my sisters car with the stuff but I decided to wait and get a DA and pick a machine use product. So you CAN throw ScratchX on with a DA? My sis's car would be a perfect job for ScratchX...

"The most effective way to safely remove fine scratches and swirls...Now by hand OR with a dual action polisher! Our new and improved ScratchX uses diminishing abrasive technology to safely and effectively remove fine scratches, swirls, and oxidation. As you work ScratchX into the surface of your vehicle, the abrasives diminish and your paint surface is polished to reveal brilliant color and clarity. Clear coat safe, ScratchX will not create new scratches and will not simply "cover" fine scratches as most conventional products do."

Oh, cool! I just read the detailed description (and demo shtos) of how to use it by hand from the Meguiar's shop. I just looked at a bottle at target the other day (yeah, i know) and it must have been the old stuff. Thanks...hey, where are the pics of the car man?
