How often to wax ?

Heya guys, sorry for this newbie questions.

I just got my black nissan and wanted to keep it in great condition. Basically i park indoors during the day and outside at night.

I got myself the NXT Tech Wax, NXT Detailer, Gold Class Shampoo/Conditioner, NXT All Metal Polysh, Hot Shine Tire Gloss.

I only have weekends when i can spend the whole day doing up the car and i barely have time on weekdays.

The question is, how often can i wax the car ? Can i do it every week or is that too much ? And what's the difference btwn the Tech Wax and Detailer ?

I also noticed fine scratch marks on the new paint. Is this normal ? Any other products i need to keep my car in great condition ?

Any advice is greatly appreciated !!! and many thanks in advance.

With Meguiar's waxes, you can wax as often as you like, once a week will keep you car looking brand new forever.

And what's the difference btwn the Tech Wax and Detailer ?

One is to protect your car, the other is a mist & wipe product to remove light dust in-between regular washings

Ideally you should get a brand new car that is free of any defects anywhere, but that's not the norm.

After reading, I think it comes down to person preference.

I wax one a month except in deep winter and during summer because weather makes it impossible to.

I think you can make NXT go a couple months, and in some cases 3-4 months if you maintain your ride (QD and Spray Wax). It doesn't hurt to wax weekly, but your doing too much work. You can get that just waxed work from QD or a wash.

But i seem to notice that i seem to have some fine scratches after waxing. I don't seem to know where i'm going wrong.

Furthermore, i see really small white dots on the surface and they feel bumpy to touch. I cant seem to remove them while waxing.

Any suggestions as to what they are and how i can remove them ?

Ahh ok ... just read the articles and i think that i got some bonded contaminants on the surface. I will try to clay the surface and see how it goes.
