  • NTX v gold Class v P21s the best?

I currently use megs gold class wax on my car every 3-4 washes and every 4-6 months use the complete deep crystal system. my car is light metallic silver and I am frustrated as it hasn't got the wow factor when i've finished it off with GC wax. Has anyone had better results with NTX or P21s on light silver colours?

Though I haven't tried it, I have read several times that NXT gives metallic paints an extra "pop" over regular waxes.....especially lighter colored paints.
      Black......the ONLY color!

I just did my wife's car(Galaxy Silver Metallic) with ColorX, and then Gold Class. You might try the ColorX the next time you detail. Here's a pic

Yes the NXT will make the flake stand out more also. Next time I'm using NXT, I switch back and forth.

Reading around other forums it appears that NTX is recommended for silver. On Mikes DVD he uses it with #7 show car glaze. Has anyone tried using this combo on silver? any pics?

Well I've done live demonstrations of P21S on black paint, the best test of all), in front of around 30 people on a new black Mercedes-Benz and the product doesn't increase richness, clarity or reflectivity like any of our waxes. It adds gloss and shine, like most waxes, but not richness of color.

You're never going to get deep dark reflections out of light colored paints. That's not the nature of these colors. The most you can hope for is clarity and gloss and shine and to get clarity you want a clear, defect-free clear coat as in no swirls, staining or oxidation. And for gloss and shine you want the smoothest finish you can get, gloss and shine come from smoothness.

The above attributes are best achieved with proper claying, paint cleaners and polishes, after the paint is perfectly prepped, then the addition of a quality coat of wax will take your results even higher.

Remember if you're going to compare waxes you need to use some type of control so you can actually compare the differences in results. Large, horizontal flat panels that you can look down on work the best.
