I bought some terry towels the other day they seem to smear the polish and it is hard to get off on the other hand the microfiber towels work great i was wondering when the terry towels should be used.

Yes, I was having a similar problem when taking off #80 with the super terry.

I use terry for cutting the film when I apply (#7) Show Car Glaze. I also use terry for leather cleaning and conditioning and wiping down things under the bonnet.

For everything else I use microfiber.

Terry does work better if you wash it a couple times and never use a fabric softener.

One last thing, all terry is not the same. Be sure to use 100% cotton terry.

I think the ultra plush super terrys remove cured waxes and polishes easily (but #7 I take a couple passes and switch to a clean side frequently). But cleaner/polishes I haven't tried, I've always use mf.

Microfiber is my towel of choice. As a matter of fact, that's all I use. Much better results in all cases IMO!
